DIMAS — Diode beam collimation for solid-state laser pumping

The DIMAS project aims to develop a customized beam collimator for high-power laser diodes used in solid-state laser pumping systems. The project focuses on tailored UVFS micro- and millilens arrays to improve pumping efficiency and beam uniformity.

Optogama’s contribution

Optogama’s work includes:

  • Development of optical systems for high-power laser diode measurement and characterization.

  • Optical modeling and customized lens-array design.

  • Anti-reflection coatings and compact collimator prototype development.

  • Integration, testing and demonstration of the prototypes in Optogama laser systems.

  • Product validation and commercialization planning.

The intended outcome is a functional collimator prototype demonstrated in a solid-state laser system, with a development pathway toward commercialization.

Project start: June 2026
