DINE — Dimensionally driven Insights for Nonlinear Optics and Engineered Materials
DINE investigates how dimensionality and material structure influence light–matter interactions and nonlinear optical properties in one-, two- and three-dimensional engineered materials.
The project combines nonlinear optics, ultrafast spectroscopy, nanomaterials and advanced fabrication technologies. Through international research collaboration and staff exchanges, it connects complementary scientific and industrial expertise to advance material design, characterization and photonic device development.
Research objectives
-
Investigate and optimize nonlinear light–matter interactions across different material dimensionalities.
-
Develop materials and photonic structures with enhanced nonlinear optical properties.
-
Strengthen knowledge exchange between research institutions and industrial partners.
Expected outcomes
The project aims to deliver new nonlinear optical materials and structures, improved characterization methods and computational models, and photonic device prototypes for sensing and laser applications.
